One could easily dismiss one as a random error or placeholder, but it is a bit of a smoking gun that TWO sites have the same date listed. Well, now we may know the illustrious “when”? Both Book Depository and Amazon have had listings for the third book, The Doors of Stone for an Augrelease. The first book in the series, The Name of the Wind, hit bookshelves back in 2007, and four years later, and it was followed up with The Wise Man’s Fear in 2011. Martin, but another oft-cited offender is the Kingkiller Chronicle series from Patrick Rothfuss. Of course, the big example here is A Song of Ice and Fire from George R.R. However, over the years, many have been burnt over some series whose authors spend a great deal of time on the next entries, leaving fans to meander on over to other series that are also…unfinished.
Like many other fan bases out there, fantasy readers are voracious in their consumption of all things…fantasy.
UPDATE: It has been brought to our attention in the comments that Book Depository is owned by Amazon…so the idea of this being a coincidence that two separate online outlets would have the same information can pretty much be thrown out the window.
